Green Waves is a project funded by the European Union and implemented by Eventi Nomadi and the Impact Hubs of Zagreb, Athens, and Rome. It was created to address the challenge of reconciling tourism-related economic growth with the protection of the delicate Mediterranean ecosystem. The project targets young women aged 20 to 30 in Croatia, Italy, and Greece, recognizing the economic importance of tourism in these countries and its significant environmental impact, particularly through mass beach tourism. The online training program will offer skills, mentorship, and co-creation experiences to develop business ideas related to sustainable and responsible tourism. Expected outcomes include the creation of new business ventures, the promotion of natural and cultural heritage, and the development of less seasonal and more inclusive tourism.
